The founder of the Society was The Hon Sir Charles Russell, Bart.,K.C.V.O. His portrait, reproduced here, was by the famous society painter Philip de Laslo, in 1919. The original portrait hangs in the reception of the firm of solicitors which he also founded in 1891, now called Charles Russell LLP.
